Diving at Playa del Carmen

These are photos from my final dive fulfilling my Open Water Diver Certification requirements. I did my exams and skills tests at Scuba Playa over the course of three days

Visibility was decent this day. Water was about 78 Fahrenheit. While not as overrun with fish as Cozumel, this dive spot still yielded some great photo opportunities. I'm gradually getting better at taking underwater photos. The challenge, of course, is that you're weightless and being moved around by the current while trying to focus on an object that is stationary. The more I dive and perfect my buoyancy control, the better photos I'll take.

Cool, white spotted eel. We saw another one that was yellow and black but it was swimming too quickly for me to get a good photo..

One of my favorite sights is a school of fish tucked under the shelf of coral.

Here I am swimming towards two schools of fish.

Lobster. We saw three of them on this dive. I ate two of them. (just kidding).
